Just the Other Day
Just the other day I told Bailey, "Now dear, we are going to take your picture today and I would like you to smile."
"But Mom," she said, "you know I hate to smile for the camera." "I know, but just once, for me?" I replied.
"Um, OK, but only one" she said.
So I snapped this shot, which I don't really think is a smile and I started to try and get another one of her really smiling but...
She shook her fist at me and said "NO, MOM, you already took a picture, NO MORE or I will get angry!!"
So then I took another, and then she got angry and started to cry. "You broke your promise" she bawled, "NO MORE PICTURES". "OK,OK," I said, "If I don't take any more pictures will you please just calm down?"

She snifled and replied hesitantly, "Alright, that's a deal."
So you see folks, I really, really tried to get one of her smiling. It just wasn't in the cards for that day, or the next, or probably the next few.

I Couldn't Resist, Sorry ST & HT
Are these not the most adorable children ever?
I don't actually have the "rights" to these picture as their mother sent them to me via email, so I'll withhold their names for their privacy.
Ward/Todd said "These pictures are absolutely adorable."
I concur.
P.S. ST & HT I will remove these pictures at your request.

The New Nikon D8
So we got the Nikon D80 and I am really happy so far with it. I thought I would add some of the first shots with it, I think there is a great improvement in photo quality over what I had been using.
Todd shaved his head this morning to help raise the twins self-esteem.
For those of you who haven't been over, here is a look inside the twins nursery.
(The hot pink and blue bears are a present from Grandma Pam)
Bailey sleeps in the Soothing Glider pictured beside her crib, she wants nothing to do with that fancy crib we bought her.
This is Max, who just turned four. If you aren't kicking or throwing a football or soccorball, he barks. This shot turned out nice I thought. The Kodak and Fuji cameras were never any good at action shots.
This is Todd with Sam.
This is Bailey and this is why there are more shots of Cooper, she HATES to have her picture taken (just like her mom!). She really does smile folks, I promise, just not for the camera.
Bailey.
That frown is a great improvement from the screaming that used to ensue during bathtime.
Cooper
Todd this morning with the twins.
Doesn't it look like they are holding hands? This is one of only a few times the twins have been together and not been unhappy about it.
(Bailey's face - What makes you think I'm not unhappy about this?)
Sam in our personal parking lot.

This is Crookshanks, the stray we picked up two weeks after we moved in. She had kittens four weeks later. And she got fixed six weeks after that.
Here I am. I prefer to be on the other side of the camera, but I thought this once I would post a shot of myself. I cut off all of my hair last week after Cooper had spit-up in it twice.

Just Launched!
Trauma
TroubleHere I am giving a shot at professional quality and failing ever so perfectly.
I thought it would be cool to have a place to display pictures of Trauma and Trouble so family and friends near and far could take a periodic peak without me bogging down their computers with my email attachments.
